One of my well-used H3 Blacks will no longer charge consistently through the USB port. Don't really want to buy a new H4 since the H5 MAY be here in a few months.

Looking for a sanely priced, well taken care of H3 Black. I really only need the camera and its battery.

Hero 3+ Black ($225)

I have a hero 3+ black that I purchased in November of last year. It comes with two batteries and the charger. I'm asking $225 OBO. I also have about $300 worth of accessories (including a brand new BacPac) I'm willing to let the GoPro and all the accessories go for $350 OBO. The only reason I'm selling it is because I have two and I never use them both at the same time like I thought I would.

Thanks. Interesting idea. Don't think I'd like to eliminate the battery entirely, however.

This would be a moot point if GoPro would come out with the H5 already! I'd probably just buy a 5. Or an H4 if there was no compelling reason to buy a 5.

A Dummy battery is power to the battery compartment, last resort for a loved camera, right? I did this with an Aiptek IS-DV camera made my own used two finishing nails, wood, wire and a arrow/radioshack multi car charger thingy Lol

Yes I hear ya waiting for the Hero 5. if that comes out I will then mod my hero 4 BE Lol

So for under $20 I thought I'd give that Battery Eliminator idea a try. Received it today. Tested it with my broken USB port H3, its LCD bacpac and an external battery pack that I occasionally had used. Worked fine. So I used my Dremel tool to notch the bottom of the H3 case to allow the power cable to exit gracefully. That then allowed the bacpac to easily attach. Then I jammed the whole thing into one of the "frame" cases that I have with the Battery Eliminator cord hanging out the bottom. I could have modified it I suppose, but it's fine for now.

This will hopefully buy me some time until the H5 comes out.

Thanks for the suggestion.
