What is the difference between the lcd screen I have for my Hero 3 (Model ALCDB-301) and the newer version (Model ALCDB-401)?

The new number is for thr hero 4 and the hero 3+. The -301 is for the 3+ as I understand it. Good that you caught the difference! I always go for the latest version!

one isa touchscreen the other is not. I use my hero 2 YES hero 2 on my hero 4
