Hi everyone,

Over the past few years, I had several other projects that took me away from maintaining this forum. Eventually, I left the forum altogether and let it run itself.

For months and months, I had this nagging feeling that I was giving up on something amazing while I pursued these other projects.

But recently, I decided that enough was enough.

I wanted to refocus my energy into cleaning things up and updating the forum.

I made the commitment that I wanted to invest my time and money into injecting some life back into the GoProFanatics forum.

I started GoProFanatics back in 2011 and it grew into something great thanks to all of our great members.

I'm hoping we can rally together as GoPro Fanatics and build up some fresh momentum.

WHAT'S NEW?

Software
: A forum update was well overdue so I went ahead and upgraded to the XenForo forum software.

It's clean, fast and it's just easier for me to manage.

It has been freshly launched today so it's still somewhat basic in appearances and I'm sure there are going to be some issues and bugs that show up.

Please don't be shy in expressing your opinion on what you think about it, what you want to see and if you encounter any problems.

GoPro Media Gallery: I added a new Media section where you can add your best GoPro images and videos: Check out the GoPro Media Section

My intention with the media gallery is for everyone to share their amazing footage with the community plus I've added in a field for you to enter your Instagram handle.

I would love for these images to be used on our social media channels like Facebook and Instagram.

I want to promote your content while giving you the credit and exposure!

WHAT'S UPCOMING?

More Tutorials & Guides
: Let's be honest, the GoPro and photography in general can get very complicated, very fast.

I want to put together an awesome resource of guides and tutorials to help get the most out of the camera as well as editing.
  • GoPro Capture Settings (for both videos and photos)
  • GoPro Mounts
  • Editing Workflows
  • How to edit a GoPro picture in Lightroom / Lightroom Mobile
  • How to edit a GoPro video in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro X, etc
  • Reviews
Contests & Giveaways: I want to start hosting some giveaways, contests and challenges. I'd like to make this a regular monthly thing.

Prizes would include GoPro cameras and 3rd party mounts and accessories so if you're in the business of selling GoPro-related gear, reach out to me.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

This forum is nothing without its members.

I want to hear your feedback on how we can make this place the best GoPro community in the world.
  • What do you want to see?
  • What GoPro issues are you struggling with?
  • What don't you like about the forum?
  • What do you want more of?
Thanks and I hope everyone is staying safe,

AJ

Oh and we have some cool new emojis. :gopro: :premiere: :fcpx: :alien::devilish:🔥

I forgot to ask. Is TapTalk the preferred app to use on iPhone?

Jared
Thanks for asking. Very good question. Let me get back to you on that.

I do know that the new forum is much more mobile-friendly than the previous version.

Are you still an active user of TapaTalk?

I was a so so user. If the new forum is more mobile friendly I'll probably not use TapTalk
Alright fair enough. I'm asking for some expert advice on the topic to see if it's worth integrating again.

If it's easy and brings some benefits, I'll do it again.

The big reason we originally had it was because the old forum software wasn't mobile friendly.

Stand by!

I think the mobile version is great! I definitely like it over Tapatalk.
