We’ve almost reached the end of 2015 which means spending valuable time with family during the holidays, making new years resolutions and reflecting back on the past year.
On the topic of last year, let’s take a look at the top 10 most viewed GoPro videos from 2015.
10. Wingsuit Flight Through 2 Meter Cave – Uli Emanuele
We start our list with some precision wingsuit flying. This video combines speed with an impossibly small gap and zero room for error. The build up to the moment of truth is naturally nerve racking but this is definitely the most insane video in our list.
9. Our Newborn Twins First Meeting
This video doesn’t have to do with extreme sports. However, it still evokes some strong emotions. Watch as two newborn twins immediately become calm when they’re reunited.
8. Pole Vaulting with Allison Stokke
Go into the mind of Allison as she goes through her routine in this well-edited GoPro clip.
7. Helicopter Skydive
Skydiving is insane, exciting, fun, memorable and many other adjectives. What’s better than skydiving you ask? Skydiving with friends of course! This video drops in at number 7 on our list. Watch as these 3 adrenaline junkies hang off a helicopter before skydiving towards the beach in Pensacola, Florida.
6. Owl Dance-Off
Who knew these nocturnal creatures were such dope dancers? This video is a classic example of how much music and some slick editing can turn average footage into a viral sensation.
5. Primož Ravnik – Mountain Biking down a Dam
For those of you who mountain bike, you’ll probably be impressed by this clip. For the rest of you who think: “this is just a video of a dude calmly riding down a gentle slope into some water,” go out and do the same thing and try not to wet yourself BEFORE you hit the water. Whatever you think, it’s number 5 on our list!
4. GoPro falls into pit of Rattlesnakes
If you have a strong fear of snakes, we’d probably advise against watching this video. Watch as this GoPro captures what looks like a horror scene. There are way too many snakes in this video. Try not to jump when they strike at the GoPro! And yes, a hockey stick is used to retrieve the captured camera.
3. An Irishman in Vegas
GoProFanatics exists to help you better understand your GoPro. You can exchange ideas with other fanatics and ask questions. As this video indicates, asking the simple question of which side of the camera will shoot footage would have helped. Unfortunately for this traveler, he pointed the camera in the wrong direction and just got selfies of himself. But then again, selfies have really gained in popularity lately so maybe this was intentional. In any event, it’s funnier to think it wasn’t and it ends up at number 3.
2. Danny MacAskill – Cascadia
This video managed over 10 million views and was only posted on December 10th, which makes this video the fasting growing one of the year. If you’ve never heard of Danny MacAskill, I guarantee this video will have you searching for more of his videos. His balance and precision are out of this world. Be sure to watch until the end because there’s an awesome surprise.
1. GoPro HERO4 Session: GoPro, Simplified
And claiming the top spot is the promo video put together by GoPro for the all new Hero4 Session that was released back in July. Sales may have struggled with this mini cube-shaped camera and it may have underwent 2 dramatic price drops to its current price of $199.99, but there is NO denying the versatility and power of this mini GoPro. This video shows you a little bit of everything so everyone will enjoy this compilation of radness.
