Definetly one of the BEST and most helpful things ever posted for a gopro. such a very simple fix for such a very BAD problem. the hardest part for the first timer is actually opening the unit getting the label to seperate. i kept thinking it was going to break the case even after heating it by charging the battery and also blasting it with the hair dryer. Now i have done one it will be very easy to do future ones i buy.

Anyone with that stupid sound click problem. This definetly fixes it and as long as you take you time and be careful it is easy enough to do.

I wish that this info was posted everywhere on the 'net. Unfortunetly most of the "rattle fix" results get drowned out by the noseplug doohickey thing so this fix is harder to come by.

The sticker part is the hardest/scariest part but once you get past it, its easy.

I to have a rattling issue but the problem is the from front LED. I can slightly press it in and shake the camera with no noise. I really don't want to take it all apart...... Think I'll try to return it

Great stuff. This crackling noise has been driving me nuts!

Question related to this. I get how this would impact the sound if using the internal mic but does this also impact the sound quality when using an external mic? Sure doesn't seem like it'll hurt too try, but seems odd why it would.

I was ondering if this is similar to my problem?

For me when the Gopro is in the housing, even the slightest touch of the case will make a scraping noise which drowns out the rest of the video.

Heres my samples.. any ideas on cause?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fp1fZT6R8_0

The noise occurs as I lightly rub the outer case (just like you would swipe to unlock a smartphone)

This noise is especially bad when I wear a harness, just hear scraping the entire way.
(Cant avoid the casing not touching my clothes or bag etc!)

    Is this normal?
