Hi everyone,

Just thought I would get everyone's thought on this new product I stumbled upon on Kickstarter. It's called GoSwivel360.

I have seen some DIY helmet 360 swivel mounts but lack the knowledge to build my own. Plus I don't want to drill into my helmet as many of these DIY videos tell you too.

I really like the perspective this mount delivers but wanted to get everyone's feedback on such a device. I don't plan to wear it everywhere I go with my GoPro but thought it would be a cool addition to my current mount list. However, I don't want to hurt myself and don't know how such a mount would behave if a fall was to occur. I know about the RotR helmet mount but it's simply out of my price range.

Any thoughts?

Hi.

When i edit movie from my Hero 3 silver i go through Cineform first, but I've noticed that the .avi files that Cineform produces are much less sharp than the MP4 files coming directly from the camera. I normally take the .avi files to Sony movie studio platinum 12 and edit them into a movie, but if i compare the finished product, even though i have set rendering to high in movie studio platinum 12, the clips coming directly from the camera looks better. How can this be?
I render for internet in 1080p 30fps.

Hello,

I have a new GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition, love the camera but the app does not work for me. I have an iPhone 4s. The GoPro is updated to the latest 2.39 firmware. I select wireless controls, GoPro app. I connect to the GoPro's wireless server on my iPhone. I then open the GoPro app. It has the option to Connect + Control. I select it but it does not work. The GoPro App Setup window pops up with instructions on how to setup the HD Hero 2 and other instructions etc.

Anyone know what i'm doing wrong???

Thanks

Hey guys,

My name is Benny. I live on the island of Martha's Vineyard. I am an instrument rated Private pilot currently working on my commercial pilots license. I also am a passionate fisherman including the sport of extreme surfcasting, strapping on the wetsuit on a nightly basis in the warmer months hopping on rocks casting for big Striped Bass in the surf. I recently got the Hero 3 Black and love it so far. I have taken it up in the cockpit and also have mounted it on my new RC Flyzone Calypso airplane. Here is my first video montage:

I look forward to talking with you guys and hope to learn some good info on the GoPro camera here.

I have the White edition with the latest firmware.
I run the BacBac
I run 64GB SanDisk and have not experienced issues with them before

I recently went on a trip and brought spare fully charged Wasabi batteries. After both the main battery and BacPac drained, I replaced the main battery and re-installed the drained BacPac (I had not brought the non-PacPac cover with me). The camera ran for a few seconds and shut down. Thinking I may have used a none fully charged main battery, I replaced it with another fully charged one and same result (but shorter).

My only conclusion is that the camera was probably trying to run off the BacPac and did not transfer power source to the main battery. I will be carrying the none BacPac cover in the future but this seems odd...

Anyone else experience this before? Does my conclusion make sense?

Thanks
